The College of Palliative Medicine of Sri Lanka has announced the upcoming Palliative Congress 2026, scheduled to take place on 9 August 2026 at the Galle Face Hotel in Colombo.

Held under the theme “Care Unlimited: Learn, Share, and Connect,” the congress aims to bring together healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and multidisciplinary teams to discuss advancements and challenges in palliative care.

The event will feature four major symposia focusing on global policies and research in palliative care, nutrition and frailty, palliative care beyond cancer, and symptom management in palliative medicine. Organizers say the congress will provide a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among local and international participants.

Registration fees have been announced as Rs. 5,000 for members and allied health professionals, Rs. 6,000 for non-members, and USD 50 for international participants.

The congress is expected to highlight the growing importance of palliative care in improving quality of life for patients with serious illnesses while promoting compassionate, patient-centered healthcare practices in Sri Lanka and beyond.
